Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) – FERC regulates the interstate transmission of natural gas, oil, and electricity.
Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) – MPSC Operations & Wholesale Markets Division is responsible for ensuring safe, adequate, and reliable energy supplies in Michigan.

National Association of Pipeline Safety Representatives (NAPSR) – NAPSR is a non-profit organization of state pipeline safety regulatory personnel who serve to promote pipeline safety in the United States and its territories.
National Energy Board (NEB) – Responsible for pipeline safety in Canada. While Canadian laws are different from those of the United States, the NEB's website contains useful educational information for persons researching pipeline safety issues.
National Pipeline Mapping System (NPMS) – The NPMS provides maps of natural gas transmission pipelines and hazardous liquid pipelines.
