Strategic Planning

The Watershed Council assists lake associations and other organizations with strategic planning. We help groups identify priority goals and objectives as well as assist with crafting an annual work plan and specific action steps. Strategic planning can be tailored to fit each organization's needs starting with half-day sessions to longer-term processes.

Board Development

All boards of directors require care and feeding. The Watershed Council helps boards of directors identify development needs and implement a program to assist with board improvement. Examples include performing a board assessment tool, designing board education programs, and helping with leadership development and recruitment

Fundraising Campaign Planning and Communications

The Watershed Council has experience planning and implementing membership, capital, and endowment campaigns. We have assisted lake associations and other groups with the development of their special campaigns. Our staff can provide general guidance or develop very specific plans and assist with campaign development and implementation. We can also assist lake associations and others with development and implementation of a communications and outreach strategy including working with the media.
