Financial

1. Is there a financial cap at which point CMS will no longer be held responsible for the cleanup efforts? If yes, what is that cap?

Response from CMS: We believe $85 million is adequate for the project.

2. It was recently reported that CMS has raised the price tag of cleanup from $45 million to $85 million. How much money has CMS invested in the cleanup efforts to date?

Response from CMS: We do not disclose such figures for our projects. However, it is important to note that this money is shareholder money and there is no connection between this project and the utility so electric and natural gas rates won't be affected.

3. What is the total estimated cost of a permanent long-term remedy for the contamination and what will happen if more than $85 million is required to correctly address the problem?

Response from CMS: Based on current data we believe $85 million is adequate to address both short and long-term activities. We intend to meet our obligations.

4. How specifically is CMS acquiring the necessary funds to implement the interim and long-term responses?

Response from CMS: The money used for the project is shareholder money.
