The Watershed Council is the only organization in Northern Michigan that focuses solely on water in all its glorious forms: the Great Lakes, inland lakes, streams, rivers, wetlands, and ground water. But ongoing pressures from unplanned development, wetland filling, soil erosion, storm water runoff, dams, invasive species, and potential water diversions all threaten the health of Northern Michigan - the lifeblood of our region.
